The Rural Development Coordinator will work in close cooperation with APJM management, and in particular the Conservation Manager and the Sales and Design Officer, and will be responsible for:

1. Supervising with relevant parties the production chain of Jabal Moussa (JM) products from source to sales and ensuring its successful implementation, including:
a. Sourcing of quality raw material and coordinating purchases and delivery
b. Coordinating participation of local women in the production sessions
c. Supervising production sessions and ensuring compliance with food safety requirements
d. Ensuring adequate stock count and record keeping, as per the specifications of the accounting department
e. Reporting on any shortage or surplus in stock levels
f. Do regular checkups on raw material, machines, and installations and report on any defect
g. Supporting in sales and distribution of products, to reserve entrances, outlets and online, and maintaining contact with outlets;

2. Reviewing and improving the sustainability/profitability margin of each product;
3. Developing new recipes within existing lines and new lines of products (plant-based products; dried fruits and nuts products; and others);
4. Collect customer technical information and analyze associated opportunities and risks and suggest actions for improvement;
5. Coordinate consultancies and expertise that serve the Products Program;
6. Identify and help adopt new outlets and research new market opportunities;
7. Assist in conceiving the marketing strategy of JM products and ensure its proper implementation (including online marketing);
8. Developing material for the marketing and promotion of JM products;
9. Establish and maintain contact with local farmers, beekeepers and other suppliers, and promote good agricultural practices;
10. Providing support in the Native Tree Nurseries Program.

Requirements:
• University Degree in agriculture, food or a related field
• At least 2 years of work experience
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills in at least two of the following languages: Arabic; French; English
• Ability to be creative and self-motivated
• Enjoys team work
• Ability to cope and maintain performance expectations under pressure
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Being motorized is a must
• Previous experience with Marketing or Agriculture is a plus
• Familiarity with the Jabal Moussa Biosphere Reserve is a plus

Contract:
Full time. Flexibility is essential, occasional work on weekends.
